President's Report

Dear Members of the International Disability Insurance Society,

I extend “warm” greetings to you as we step into the month of July, as we continue to champion the cause of disability insurance and help clients protect their most valuable financial asset: their income.  Our collective efforts have made a tremendous impact, empowering countless lives and reshaping the landscape of disability insurance worldwide.

Please mark your calendars for October 9^th through the 11^th to come to our Annual Conference in Portland, Maine.  Our Conference Committee has done an outstanding job of putting together a great program for this year’s Conference.  We will be sending you more information that highlights some of the speakers that you will be able to learn from and interact with to help grow your business.  In addition, there will be many opportunities to interact with carriers, and network with other members.

You will be able to register this month with the Early Bird Discount.  I encourage each member to attend and share your valuable insights.  Your expertise and diverse perspectives are instrumental in shaping our society's initiatives and ensuring that we continue to drive positive results by providing disability insurance.

Furthermore, I am proposing the launch of a new mentorship program. This program aims to foster professional growth and development by pairing experienced members with emerging professionals in the disability insurance industry. Mentoring relationships have the power to inspire, guide, and nurture talent, and I am confident that this program will create a ripple effect of knowledge-sharing and professional advancement.  Your feedback on this initiative is encouraged and greatly appreciated.

Lastly, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to our dedicated Board Members and Committee Members who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Theirs and your commitment and passion are the driving force behind our Society's success. I encourage you to consider volunteering and contributing your skills and expertise in making a difference for our Society.

Annual IDIS Conference

Save the date for our 19th IDIS Annual Conference, which will take place in Portland, Maine on October 9-11, 2023!

Our Conference Committee is hard at work planning an event you don't want to miss! The IDIS Annual Conference will provide an opportunity to hear from expert speakers, reconnect with friends and colleagues, and stay up-to-date on current trends in the Disability Insurance industry. 

We are so excited to be heading to Portland, Maine - a city with "a perfect blend of present with a very special past".
