President's Report
‘No April Fooling,’ I am excited to see the growth of the International DI Society in past months. Thanks to you as members for sharing the message of IDIS with your associates and helping all of us to build a stronger Society to support one of the most important insurance protections for your personal and business clients.
We are also excited to present to you the new IDIS Vision Statement, Mission Statement, and Values. A copy of these will be on our website, www.internationaldisociety.org
IDIS Vision Statement: To be the premier resource network for disability insurance professionals and distributors to enhance their skills, become experts in their field, and be equipped to offer quality service and personalized disability solutions tailored to the unique needs of their clients.
IDIS Mission Statement: At IDIS, our only focus is to support you—professionals who provide disability protection products and services. We are committed to helping you increase awareness of the importance of disability insurance to individuals and businesses. We provide training, tools, and educational programs to enhance your knowledge and expertise on DI; create connections with insurance companies, underwriters, regional brokers, distributors, and individual producers on disability product options; and advocate for increased understanding of disability insurance among the public and policymakers.

These will help us clarify what we stand for as we share our message with other insurance companies, underwriters, regional brokers, distributors, and individual producers, especially with DI Awareness Month coming up in May.
Finally, regarding DI Awareness Month, I invite you to share with us what you are doing in May. We would like to post as many events as possible on our website, to promote your events and ideas of how to ‘spread the word.’

Save the date for our 19th IDIS Annual Conference, which will take place in Portland, Maine on October 9-11, 2023!
Our Conference Committee is hard at work planning an event you don't want to miss! The IDIS Annual Conference will provide an opportunity to hear from expert speakers, reconnect with friends and colleagues, and stay up-to-date on current trends in the Disability Insurance industry.
We are so excited to be heading to Portland, Maine - a city with "a perfect blend of present with a very special past". Hotel details and more will be coming soon, but in the meantime you can find information about what Portland has to offer on the Portland's Visitor Website or Official 2022 Visitors Guide.
