Dear Fellow IDIS Members:
“The challenges in our lives are there to STRENGTHEN our CONVICTIONS. They are NOT there to run us over.”
Nick Vujicic (motivational speaker born with Tetra-Amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of arms and legs)
Although our IDIS Annual Conference is over as well as almost all of 2018, I want to extend a personal challenge to you to FINISH STRONG. Any great athlete or sales professional knows that it is last 10% that can have the greatest impact in the results achieved. What this means to you is that, if you take this time of year to do a little bit more while many others relax instead, that you will find that you can exceed your goals and help more people at the same time.
This doesn’t mean that you need to necessarily work harder to help more of your clients, especially when it comes to this most important protection. Take the time to review what is working well for you in helping others and what is not. Then, make the commitment to maximize your time doing more of the first while doing less of the last.
Take the time to make that “one last call,” or make just one more appointment each day. Reach out to your prospect one more time or ask for the last referral. Whatever it is that you do best, take the time to finish strong in the last 10% of your day, your week, and your year and see what a difference it makes. It has been one of the biggest discoveries that I have made in improving my results, and can be for you too.
Finally, be sure to express your thanks for those that have been there to support you along the way. On behalf of the 2018 IDIS Board, we want to express our thanks to you for making 2018 an incredible year of progress and growth for the Income Protection and the International DI Society. We are looking for even greater achievements for 2019.
We really want to hear from you. As we plan for next year, let us know how we can make 2019 an even more incredible year for you and your clients. Together, we can continue to help more to understand the importance of Income Protection.

President - 2018
